Punter/Linebacker?

Great story in today's Post-Gazette about the punter the Steelers took in the fourth round, Daniel Sepulveda. He began his time in college as a walk-on linebacker before winning the punting job. Check this paragraph out:

"At 6 feet 2 1/2, Sepulveda is taller than the Steelers' first-round draft choice, linebacker Lawrence Timmons, and at 229 pounds just five pounds lighter -- and faster, considering Sepulveda has been clocked running the 40 at 4.43."

Not bad, eh? And to top it off, the P-G links to a video on the Baylor site of Sepulveda not only blasting a 50-plus yard punt, but then crushing the return man in a way only a former walk-on linebacker could.

Sepulveda tore his ACL over Easter break last season, had surgery in late April and still punted in the Bears' season opener just a few months later.

As Ed Bouchette describes it, Sepulveda "punts like Ray Guy, tackles like Jack Lambert and heals like Rod Woodson".
